Chassis Straightening Technician

RESPONSABILITIES

You'll have to straighten the chassis of heavy vehicles that have been involved in accidents, by dismantling, replacing and reassembling suspension components and chassis mechanics. You will also ensure the quality and conformity of the work performed. 

Tasks

  • Diagnose chassis problems using a laser system;
  • Dismantle and reassemble various pieces of equipment on a heavy vehicle;
  • Use hydraulic tools to straighten the chassis of a heavy vehicle;
  • Use lasers to check that the chassis is straight, and readjust if necessary;
  • Handle heavy tools and components (weights, hydraulic jacks) and operate rolling point;
  • No work done on the engines

  • Thoroughness and attention to detail;
  • Resourcefulness and autonomy;
  • Team spirit and cooperation.

Required qualifications

  • 2 years' experience in a heavy vehicle workshop;
  • Basic knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • Be in good physical condition;
  • Knowledge of steel welding is an asset.

Monday to Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
 Friday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
